Berkshire Rehab Recognized with National Quality Award
We are proud to announce that Berkshire Rehab & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, MA has been named a recipient of the 2025 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
This national recognition honors long-term and post-acute care facilities that demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the lives of those they serve through quality care and organizational excellence. The Bronze Award is the first of three progressive levels in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program and represents a foundational step in a facility’s journey toward performance improvement and quality outcomes.
“We are incredibly proud of the team at Berkshire Rehab for earning this well-deserved recognition,” said Larry Santilli, President and CEO of Athena Health Care Systems. “Their commitment to excellence and compassionate care makes a meaningful difference in the lives of their residents and families every day. I couldn’t agree more with AHCA/NCAL’s recognition—it reflects the heart and integrity of these incredible teams.”
Berkshire Rehab is among only 26 Massachusetts facilities—and just over 650 nationwide—to receive the 2025 Bronze Award.
The Massachusetts Senior Care Association (MSCA), which represents and supports providers across the state, also recognized this accomplishment. “We are grateful to all caregivers and staff for their dedication to providing vital care to residents living in the long-term and post-acute care communities we serve,” said Tara Gregorio, President of MSCA. “We applaud these facilities for their achievement and continued commitment to quality resident care.”
We extend our sincere congratulations to the teams at Berkshire Rehab for this outstanding achievement and for setting the bar high in delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.
